NerradsCali Corp was founded and created in 2012 by Darren Brown. At The time Darren was a real estate agent working in Roseville and Sacramento Ca. We started buying houses in 2013 and haven’t looked back. To date, we’ve purchased houses, condos, vacant land, and smaller multi-family apartments. We flip or rent our properties after we buy them.

Q: Why are your Primary purchase areas North Highlands, Florin, S. Sacramento, Del Paso Heights and Oak Park?
A: I feel a personal connection to my primary locations. In the 90’s I lived in Citrus Heights on Wonder Street. My house was directly across from Madera Park. It is where my children grew up. It was a peaceful place. It reminded me of where I grew up. During this time I was still in the Air Force. I would drive thru North Highlands everyday on my way to McClellan Air Force Base. It was here where I was the supervisor of the medical department. Many of my civilian staff lived in Florin, Oak Park, South Sacramento and Del Paso Heights. We serviced a lot of retirees who lived in North Highlands. Back in those days my staff and I were tight and we visited each other often. I even remember when Florin had the Florin Mall. I remember when Kevin Johnson, who served as the 55th mayor of Sacramento from 2008 to 2016, a notable former mayor who is from the Oak Park neighborhood. After I retired from the Air Force in 2001, I started my career in Real Estate as a realtor. Many of my buyers at the time bought in these very same locations. They were affordable neighborhoods then and still are today. So I like to buy and resale in these areas. It allows me to assist first times buyers and simultaneously redevelop communities. However, I buy and sell in all of Sacramento and Placer counties
Q: What Is A Real Estate Investor?
A: It is an experience professional buyer that has many options to buy vs the traditional buyer. Typically, they buy homes cash. This is important because not ALL homes qualify for Loans. Example given may be a home that requires a new roof that the seller can’t do. Very special loans may allow for this but if its an investor they will have one put on and pay for it themselves.
Q: Will you be listing my house on the MLS or actually buying it?
A: Good question. Darren Brown, owner of Darren Buys Homes cash does have an active Broker and real estate license for over 25 years. HOWEVER, we Do Not want to list your house. We want to give you an offer to buy your house. We are professional home buyers. We buy houses all around Sacramento and around CA that meet our purchasing criteria. We have our own funds ready for us to find another house to purchase.
Q: Are you actually buying the house or are you going to Flip it.
A: Many buyers function as wholesalers and do not ever even buy your Home. During the contract period they find another Investor to sell it to This actually now involves 3 parties and the closing takes place simultaneously. Basically, they are reselling your Home to another Buyer. This can be risky and it Happens all the time. Sometimes the Final Buyer(that investor) may not pull thru with the transaction.
Q: How Do I know if the buyer is going to wholesale/flip it or not?
A: Really good question!! Some common clues are when the buyer needs a long time to close escrow. Most investors can close in 15 days. Another important clue is to look at the name of the buyer on your contract before signing it. If in the buyers name section of who is buying it and it says something like… ABC Company or ASSIGNEES, that word in itself tells you they plan to flip it
Q: Do you pay fair prices for properties?
A: Yes. We pay fair prices for houses. We buy houses. We may fix them up. Then we may keep it and rent it out or sell it or lease it. We are a professional real estate Investment company with lots of moving parts all the time. I may start with buying with the intent of reselling, then decide to rent it afterwards based on all the dynamics of what is going on in my portfolio.
If we did not pay fair prices for houses, no one would sell us their house.
If your house has fire damage or storm damage, we will still give you a fair cash offer but we will also have to factor those things into our offer. But you probably would expect that because that’s just reasonable.

Q: How do you determine the price to offer on my house?
A: We are very clear about how we have to determine each home value. We have to see where the house is located. Then figure out what repairs may be required. What’s the current condition of the house? What are the values of the surrounding houses in the neighborhood that have sold recently? Does it have tenants or unruly squatters. Is it in Probate, Do You have funds to pay the attorney for the Probate Process? Many factors are involved in the decision and each home and seller is unique.
Our goal is to check out all that information so we can give you a fair and reasonable offer for your specific property. If our offer does not help you, then we won’t be able to buy your house. So we work hard to craft an offer that works for both ourselves and you, the homeowner.
Q: Are there any fees or commissions to work with you?
A: NOPE-We will not charge you any fees or commissions when we buy your house. We do not charge anyone to give them an offer either. We understand that many people who call us are under a lot of financial pressure. So we try to help by never asking for money. We usually even pay for the closing costs so you won’t have to worry about those expenses either.

Q: How are you different from a real estate agent?
A: Most real estate agents list properties on the MLS and wait for a buyer to come along. They will Put a Sign in your yard and place it in the MLS and Pray for a buyer to come along. Very few agents will spend a single penny on marketing your home. I say that from experience that this is a common practice in traditional real estate sales. Realtors only typically spend money on advertising homes if they tend to be high end homes. That process is described as brokering a sale. We, on the other hand, are the actual professional house buyers. When you call us, you won’t have to pay a real estate agent a sales commission. We do not want to list your house. We want to buy houses. When you work with us, we will work to get your house closed in as few days as possible (if that is what you want).
